Traveller vetting & authorization

Supporting credible travel through structured verification.

The Traveller Vetting & Authorization system is designed to strengthen the credibility of Nigerian travellers by verifying financial capacity, employment or business standing, and travel intent before visa submission. This process supports embassies by reducing incomplete, inconsistent, or high-risk applications and encourages the use of registered, professional travel operators.

Who This Is For

  • Leisure and cultural travellers
  • Pilgrims and faith-based travellers
  • Business and conference travellers
  • Short-term study and training participants
  • Migration and mobility applicants (where applicable)

How the Vetting Process Works

Step 1: Select Destination
Choose from destinations currently supported under this framework.
A transparent administrative fee applies to public applicants.
  • Bank statements
  • Employment letter or business registration (CAC)
  • Proof of income or business activity
  • Passport bio-data page
  • Destination-specific requirements (if applicable)
Documents are reviewed through a structured verification process.
Approved applicants receive:
  • A Vetting Authorization Letter (PDF)
  • A unique Authorization Reference ID
  • Online verification access
Applicants may then select a travel package from the Global Marketplace or engage a registered agent.
Important Notes
  • Vetting does not guarantee visa issuance
  • Final decisions remain with the relevant embassy or consulate
  • Authorization is destination-specific and time-bound
  • All travel bookings are completed directly with agents
